WHAT VISITORS ARE SAYING

This museum offers a first-class tribute to the roots of Arizona baseball. Highlighting everything from early leagues, the role of Japanese internment baseball and the origins of spring training. The display of old gloves, bats and jerseys makes you feel connected to the generations of players who built and loved the game.

Spending time at the Mesa Historical Museum / Arizona Baseball Museum, was well worth it. The depth of desert baseball history, including ties to Mesa and the greater Phoenix area, was fascinating. The exhibits cover everything from early development of the game in the region to wartime influences and beyond. The autograph collection alone stands out, and the connection to the Hindenburg disaster through an autographed baseball was an unexpected and memorable detail.

I had such a wonderful time visiting the Arizona Baseball Museum! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it completely exceeded my expectations. You can really tell how much care and passion went into every detail. What I loved most was how the museum tells the whole story of baseball in Arizona—not just one team, but the people, the history, and the connections to the community. If you’re in Mesa, this is absolutely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be bringing family when they come into town.
